Mayoral Appointment of "Director of Chants"

SECTION 1: One person shall be appointed by the Mayor to voluntarily fulfill the Director of Chants. a. The person appointed refrains the right to accept or deny appointment by the Mayor. b. The Mayor has complete oversight of this position and has the power to release said person with or without proper cause. c. The Director of Chants is a volunteer position and it is not a paid office. d. The Director of Chants is a part time office. SECTION 2: The Director of Chants must be respectful and responsible. a. The person must chant at appropriate times, as deemed by the Mayor, Miami staff, counselors, and other officials. b. The chants must be appropriate, as deemed by Mayor, Miami Staff, counselors, and other officials. SECTION 3: The Director of Chants must create an acceptable chant that is to be chanted loud and with pride. a. The chant must be approved by the Mayor to be deemed acceptable and useable. SECTION 4: The ordinance shall take effect at the earliest time permitted by law. Passed: 6/14/2023
