86th General Assembly: Regular Session, 2023 - 2024. Sponsored by Senator Curnutte. BBS judges can now send delegates to jail for a maximum of one hour, rather than the ten minutes that it was set at previously; however, any detainee will now be able to pay $5,000 in bail if they wish to get out of jail before their sentence is up. Additionally, a judge will also have the power to deny bail if they so wish.
