Strong City Council had another very important meeting and passed new legislation for increased city infrastructure and various grants providing for the community as a whole. Law Director Zac Niekamp and City Engineer Aaron Bergstresser built and authorized a new roundabout to decrease city traffic, increase flow, and cut down on vehicular traffic violations and crashes. The Council also presented and passed city ordinances 010, and 011; more details about those will be in the city legislation section of this website. City Engineer Mr. Bergstresser recently put in new electrical, water, and gas lines to provide basic utilities to our city as well as pedestrian crossings in coordination with the Safety Service Director Tristan Ogburn. The Freese Foundation grant provided $1.3 million towards supporting the city baseball team the Strong City Hounds, a citizens baseball team that increases city moral and diversity. The American Legion also granted Strong City with $20,000 to construct a veterans memorial to honor all our veterans. God Bless the United States of America.
