What is State Government at Buckeye Boys State?

State Government is the highest form of government at Buckeye Boys State with elected positions voted on by every single attending delegate. All delegates at Buckeye Boys State will elect a Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, Treasurer, Auditor, Secretary of State, Supreme Court Chief Justice, Supreme Court Associate Justice, and Judge of the Court of Appeals.

The Office of the Governor oversees many different state departments including the Office of Budget & Management, Department of Education, and more. These departments collaborate with delegates in the legislature to craft impactful legislation that is passed in the House and Senate, then signed by the Governor.

Governor

The Governor of BBS is the head of the executive branch of the state government, as well as the commander-in-chief of its military. He is also responsible for making the state budget, as well as either approving or vetoing potential state laws.
